The Silver Spoon to Italy is what The Joy of Cooking is to America. It is the classic touchstone cookbook that features recipes for the foundations of Italian cuisine with its handmade pastas, ragus simmered all day, and herb-infused roasted meats. I found this kid's version at my local Anthropologie store a couple of years ago, and I wish there were more kid-friendly cookbooks like this. The Silver Spoon for Children: Favorite Italian Recipes features legitimately good food that adults and kids would find yummy. It spells out each recipe in easy to follow steps and shares a little information about Italian culture too. What I love about this book is the way each cooking step is listed clearly for the child to comprehend but also features a detailed photo showing what each step looks like. It really adds a level of comprehension that gives the child more independence in the kitchen. Do you have any beloved cookbooks for kids? I'm always looking for more!
