Hi there! I am so excited to tell you about this book. This is one of those true little gems that you happen to find in a seemingly random way but that you couldn't imagine not having around. In this case, I was poking around the kids' section of my local library looking for something new to read with my toddler. I asked my librarian (much love to librarians) for some suggestions, and she picked this beauty off the shelf for me. This short and sweet story is about a zookeeper named Sam who brings food to each of his animals at lunchtime. A little mischief happens along the way, and all of the animals learn that Sam will always take care of them. This book offers some great toddler mainstays: zoo animals, playful pictures that are dotted with colorful balloons, and pages with simple, easy-to-follow, but entertaining sentences.
